How to judge the system suitability of insulation materials to the project


In the external wall insulation maintenance, there are many materials used. How to judge the adaptability of an insulation material to the project? From the technical point of view, the following aspects are mainly considered:

(1) Performance of exterior wall insulation repair materials:
The lower the thermal conductivity of the same kind of thermal insulation material, the thinner the required design thickness, the lower the cost, and the lesser the node design. The thermal conductivity is too large, the required thickness is relatively large, the possibility of product formation is low, and the cost is relatively increased.

(2) Stability of exterior wall insulation repair materials:
The external wall insulation material should have good stability, and if it is easy to be warped and deformed on the engineering board, it will easily lead to cracking and seeping of the outer surface. For example, rock wool board, extruded polystyrene board, phenolic board, polyurethane board, etc., the purchased board must reach a reasonable aging period, in order to avoid the problems of cracking and falling off due to deformation of the board to the greatest extent.

(3) Water absorption performance of exterior wall insulation repair materials:
When the external wall insulation material absorbs water, the thermal insulation performance will be drastically reduced. Therefore, the insulation material used in the project should have a low water absorption rate. Today's rock wool board, phenolic board, and traditional thermal insulation mortar materials are all highly absorbent materials, and the actual thermal insulation performance is far from theoretical.

(4) Quality and reliability of exterior wall insulation repair materials:
Common insulation boards need to be seamed and nailed to the wall, there are joints and seams, there are hot and cold bridges, and the unspliced ​​joints will affect the heat preservation effect; for example, vacuum insulation boards may have high insulation performance due to the leakage of the sheets. Discounted, traditional inorganic thermal insulation mortar, polystyrene granule thermal insulation mortar, will be difficult to ensure the quality due to the uneven distribution of workers on-site. Foamed cement boards, inorganic insulation boards, etc. are easily broken at the site, and the quality of the products is uncontrollable.

(5) Convenient construction of exterior wall insulation maintenance materials:
As a common insulation system, the thin plastering system is relatively mature, and many new materials do not have the corresponding construction convenience. For example, vacuum insulation panels, foamed cement boards and other plates are difficult to cut at the site, and the size must be specified. Factory processing customization, the flatness of the base wall is relatively high.
